Medical Laboratory Professionals Week, April 19-25, 2020, is an annual celebration of medical laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in health care and patient advocacy, according to the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). ASCP is one of 17 associations that collaborate together to bring awareness and appreciation for all clinical lab professionals.

Today it is clear how essential our labs and laboratory personnel are. With about 175,000 COVID-19 tests being administered daily, they are a key line in defense. They are tirelessly working around-the-clock to provide diagnostic testing during the pandemic to aid in its detection and prevention, among many other diseases.
