Years earlier, in 1986, Excel Courier launched its Nothern Virginia operations. From its Sterling, VA headquarters it services the Greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. As the company grew, its operating area and facility footprint expanded into Maryland and Pennsylvania and then South to Richmond. “Getting to Richmond was an early goal of Excel Courier & Logistics”, said Chris Marchetti, Excel Courier, CEO. “We were so pleased to begin operations in Virginia’s Capital City and it’s hard to believe we’re already marking our seventh year.”
In 2013, Excel Courier opened a facility to serve businesses in the “Smallest Big City.” It now has an amazing warehouse team and a network of drivers to service RVA’s delivery and warehouse needs. To further its commitment to the Richmond area, Excel Courier brought aboard local native, Ken Arnold, as its Richmond-based Sales Executive. Ken is an incredible addition to the team and brings over 23 years in courier industry experience and over 30 years of Richmond knowledge.
Excel Courier’s specialties in Richmond are managing critical parts inventory, long and short term storage, fulfillment, auto part deliveries, interoffice mail and supply deliveries, court filings, and other types of professional services delivery needs.
During the past five years, Excel Courier has heavily focused on servicing the needs of the medical and pharmaceutical community. Each driver is HIPAA and Bloodborne Pathogen certified and proficient in maintaining the integrity of each delivery.
